They're overblown and dramatized.

They are! The killers' methods are always so convoluted and not at all how it is in my experience, but Fontanian authors really have the most incredible flair for the dramatic. The characters are all so exaggerated, and the stories are compelling and fun, even if sometimes they can be a little predictable...

The one I read involved the Fatui.

I realize that I was never in the public consciousness even before everyone forgot me, but to put the Sixth Harbinger in a relationship with the Arlecchino?

Well, it's called fiction for a reason! Being invisible to the public opens people's imaginations up to all sorts of possibilities about who the Sixth could be.

Did the author keep her insane in the story, or did they tweak things to suit their own preferences~?

Do I look like someone who reads romance? As long as it doesn't involve caricatures of people I have the misfortune of knowing, it doesn't bother me but doesn't hold any interest to me.

They weren't the worst thing I've ever read. [So, yes] The ending of the one about the murder on that "locomotive" whatever was pulled out of nowhere, but it was interesting.

I told you a lot of them are like that! Personally I feel like the author did that to pull the wind from your sails if you thought you had everything figured out.

[Heizou is so pleased, his eyes bright. Wanderer enjoyed something that he also enjoys! That's friendship, right?]

It felt more like they hadn't really settled on a solution and so came up with something random, even if it was vaguely believable if you know a bunch of nutjobs.

You're not wrong about that! Maybe the author just decided to have some fun with it at the end, even if it was extremely out of nowhere.

Or it was rushed. The one where the murderer was the narrator was better.

I liked that one, too! It was a truly unique style of story telling for this genre.

There was a similar one I read where the story is told backwards because the main character suffers from short-term memory loss. It was fascinating~ I can lend that one to you next if you like!
