Which means Heizou actually yelps when he gets tugged closer and suddenly their feet are not on the ground and he clings to Wanderer so that he won't fall. They're not even that high, but it's the principle of the thing!]

Y-You could've said something first!

[He's also blushing a little and some of those heart bubbles have turned red.]

You have an anemo vision. Don't tell me you're afraid of a little flight!

[He makes a face and pinches Wanderer for that. Hard.]

I can't fly like you guys!

Ow!

[Ignore the redder hearts at that.]

Ask Venti for lessons. Unfortunately for you, my flight is feature of my body.

[Mostly, anyway.]

[Heizou huffs a little.] Even if I did, I doubt it would work...

[His expression shifts as he looks around them real quick, first at the ground below them and then up into the sky.]

...Can we go higher?

[Wanderer glances up at the sky, back down at the ground, and judges his energy levels.]

Not for long, not if we don't want to fall to our deaths. [A tiny pause.] If you want to go higher, wait until after we eat.

[He smirks a little, a playful glint in his eyes.]

Aw, but wouldn't dying together be romantic~?

[He's obviously teasing, please don't drop him, Wanderer.]

I guess I can wait, though. I'm sure the view of Reverein from the sky could be worth waiting for~

[He doesn't say anything about dying together, mostly because he does not want to think about that. Heizou isn't going to die, Wanderer can't die, and that's that.

He starts to descend.]

If you want that, we'd need a flying machine or something. I can't go that high, even without the extra weight.

[It's okay, Wanderer. Heizou will think about it often enough for the both of them.

He does kind of pout a little as Wanderer starts to descend, resting his head on his shoulder as he makes a soft disappointed noise.]

...When we're done eating, will you take me up as high as you can anyway?

[Oh look, more hearts.]

If you want. I guess. Sure.

[Yeah, there's no way they can even pretend they're outrunning these hearts at this rate. Heizou's are all pink and red and are multiplying so fast they kind of just look like a massive cloud.

It doesn't bother him, at least. Sorry, Wanderer.]

Sounds like a plan, then~

[He's going to want to eat fast, now. He has to take advantage of Wanderer being in a sort of generous mood.]

We should hurry up so we can get a nice seat while we eat!

[They land, and Wanderer gestures for Heizou to continue leading. He doesn't know where this is, after all.]

[They land, and Heizou is back to slipping his hand into Wanderer's while he continues leading the way to the tavern. (At some point while walking Heizou sneezes, but he's much too distracted to notice the pink and red petals that go floating down in its wake.) They're not far from their destination at this point, and it really isn't long until they arrive at its doors.]

Tadah! It's not much, I know. But after all my requests, they make a decent bowl of katsudon~

Do they make things not deep-fried?

[He'll eat it if they don't, but he does have to tease Heizou a little. That's not healthy!]

[Heizou rolls his eyes good-naturedly, nudging him with his shoulder as they make their way inside.]

Nope, I am forcing you to eat my delicious deep-fried monstrosities~

[Of course there are options for you, Wanderer. He wouldn't bring you here otherwise.]

At least you admit they're monstrosities.

Other than katsudon, what do you suggest?

But delicious ones!

[He has such a cheeky grin on his face while he guides them to an empty table, somewhere a little more removed and private, as Wanderer requested.]

Hmmm, let me think... It's not quite the same, but they do have something pretty similar to unagi chazuke, if you're interested.

[Please ignore the hearts that show up when Wanderer realizes they're going somewhere quiet like he asked. This human, he swears.]

How is it similar, but not the same? Just lacking the right unagi?

[He's much too busy tugging Wanderer into one of the seats to notice any new hearts forming. For once Heizou isn't sure he wants too analyze the other's feelings too closely or observe too much.

It makes him nervous.]

Yeah, what they have access to here is different. They wouldn't admit it, but half the time I'm sure they're just using different fish as substitutes.

Ugh, I hate liars in the kitchen. Hopefully today they won't try that.

[He takes a seat, looking around a bit more at the tavern.]

What about drinks?

[He chuckles a little, sliding into the space across from him.] If they do, you have my permission to barge into the kitchen and tell them off~

[Hopefully he doesn't have to.

At the mention of drinks, though, Heizou perks up a little, reaching back into his pocket.]

They have plenty of bitter teas for you to pick from, but just in case- [He pulls out a packet of Wanderer's favorite tea and puts it on the table in front of him.] I brought this!

[Oh.

Oh there are suddenly so many hearts popping up and Wanderer can't even care as he just stares at the tea.]

You just...carry that around?

[Heizou just smiles, leaning forward to rest in his chin in one hand. There are... so many heart bubbles everywhere now. And the look on Heizou's face is just so fond. He doesn't even realize he's looking at Wanderer like that.]

Mmm. Just in case, you know~

You just carry around a packet of the tea I like. Just in case?

[He nods, head tilting slightly.]

Especially if I know I'm gonna be seeing you. Would you prefer I didn't?
