[He's much too busy tugging Wanderer into one of the seats to notice any new hearts forming. For once Heizou isn't sure he wants too analyze the other's feelings too closely or observe too much.

It makes him nervous.]

Yeah, what they have access to here is different. They wouldn't admit it, but half the time I'm sure they're just using different fish as substitutes.

Ugh, I hate liars in the kitchen. Hopefully today they won't try that.

[He takes a seat, looking around a bit more at the tavern.]

What about drinks?

[He chuckles a little, sliding into the space across from him.] If they do, you have my permission to barge into the kitchen and tell them off~

[Hopefully he doesn't have to.

At the mention of drinks, though, Heizou perks up a little, reaching back into his pocket.]

They have plenty of bitter teas for you to pick from, but just in case- [He pulls out a packet of Wanderer's favorite tea and puts it on the table in front of him.] I brought this!

[Oh.

Oh there are suddenly so many hearts popping up and Wanderer can't even care as he just stares at the tea.]

You just...carry that around?

[Heizou just smiles, leaning forward to rest in his chin in one hand. There are... so many heart bubbles everywhere now. And the look on Heizou's face is just so fond. He doesn't even realize he's looking at Wanderer like that.]

Mmm. Just in case, you know~

You just carry around a packet of the tea I like. Just in case?

[He nods, head tilting slightly.]

Especially if I know I'm gonna be seeing you. Would you prefer I didn't?

[Please ignore the blushing.]

Do what you want. It doesn't bother me.

[Just. Surprised him.]

[He will not ignore it. Why in the world would he ignore the blushing when it's so cute??

It makes the smile on his face grow, warm and fond and soft -- and there are so many pink heart bubbles appearing and popping and reappearing over his head.]

[Humans are weird.]

[Still a little pink. A server finally makes their way over, asking for their drink order and if they know what they want to eat already.]

[Heizou cheerfully orders for both of them, since he already knows what Wanderer wants. He does specifically request to let them know if there isn't actually any unagi back in the kitchen so they can change their order if they need to. Though before the server leaves, Heizou turns back to Wanderer--]

Ah... Did you also want some wine or sake or anything like that?

Are you even old enough for sake, if we order some?

[Heizou raises an eyebrow, amusement in his eyes.]

Ha ha, you really are hilarious.

[He goes ahead and orders some sake as well, then. Something he's sure Wanderer will like. And once the server leaves, Heizou nudges him with his foot under the table.]

How old do you think I am, anyway?

[He nudges back.]

Anywhere from sixteen to thirty. I can't read human ages.

[He snorts at that. And nudges back, too. Because it's fun.]

That's too wide a range! Just for that I'm making you guess.

[Nudge!]

I don't know. ...twenty?

[Nudge!! This is definitely not called "playing footsie."]

Oooh, so close! Wanna guess again~?

No. Tell me.

[It's not, not at all.]

[Not at all. And it definitely isn't making even more hearts float over Heizou's head. Some of them turning a pretty deep shade of red.]

Aww, c'mon~ Just one more guess. You got so close!

[He doesn't know! And is ignoring the hearts.]

[Heizou beams, proud.]

I'll be twenty-two this summer.

That doesn't answer my question about if you're old enough for sake, you know~

[Summer, hm? Probably should figure out a meal for him...]

That makes him snerk a little, amused. And another, more pointed nudge of his foot.]
