[He's not completely sure yet. But it's not like he has much to go back to, so...]

[Not "can I ask" since. Obviously he can ask. But he's curious, though he can't blame Heizou for not wanting to talk about that.]

[There's a moment's pause. And then Heizou's eyes flick over to meet Wanderer's, giving him a soft smile.]

If I leave, I won't have you around anymore. [Or Venti, though he doesn't say that out loud.]

[Wanderer, who had been taking a drink of his tea, chokes.]

I--you really like having me around for some reason, don't you?

[Heizou laughs a little at that reaction. Sorry, Wanderer.]

Is that bad?

Concerning, maybe. I'm not a good person and I've been called acerbic. People don't like me.

People don't much like me, either. I'm still surprised you don't just physically kick me out of your space~

I feel like if I tried, you'd just come back. You don't like taking "no" for an answer, after all.

[And honestly....Wanderer is used to Heizou now.]

I don't recall you ever actually trying, though!

Walking away usually works.

[He may have never had to actually like. try. and keep people away.]

I do believe I've told you before... If you ever actually don't want me around, then you have to say so~

[And also really mean it, which is usually something Heizou can just... tell. Somehow it's never felt that way with Wanderer, and that's a big part of why he just keeps gravitating back to him.]

[Even if maybe at one point he would have wanted Heizou to leave him alone...that ship has sailed.]

Have you eaten?

[He blinks, surprised by that question at first. But then his eyes seem to sort of... light up a bit.]

Not yet. Are you hungry?

I don't need to eat. It's just a hobby for me.

[Like cooking, which he is clearly about to start as he stands and heads for his kitchen.]

I don't deep fry anything, though.

[Heizou just... watches him for a second, eyes big and bright and unable to hide his surprise. Wanderer is going to cook for him? Why?]

Ah- That's okay... What're you planning on making?

I'm sure I have the things for curry, unless you want something quicker.

Curry sounds wonderful~

[He pauses for a moment, and then-]

You must be feeling better if you're up to cook something for no reason, hm?

[threebetrayals]

[He shrugs.]

It's a distraction. [And you need to eat.]

[He smirks a little.]

Are you saying I'm not distracting enough for you~?

I like doing things.

[Shut up.]

Chicken?

Yes, please.

[He goes to join him in the kitchen, though he does kind of... hover uncertainly.]

Is there anything I can help with?

Can I trust you not to ruin the chicken if I have you cut it?

You remember that I live alone, right? I'm perfectly capable of cutting chicken.
